About the Artist

Simon Mirsky is a self-taught artist residing in Boca Raton, Florida.
His primary medium is copper, although he also sculpts in clay and much of his earlier abstract works utilize a number of assorted found materials.
He is particularly fond of the Abstract Expressionists, Pop Artists, and Fluxus Artists; and is especially inspired by Marcel Duchamp, Alexander Calder, Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, Cy Twombley, Joseph Beuys, Yoko Ono (and almost everyone else.)

Simon's sculptures are frequently featured at sponsored private exhibits and public storefronts and shops. He appears regularly at the annual "Meet Me Downtown - Boca Raton Festival", and his collection was recently exhibited at the South Regional Public Library, the first artist ever to have work displayed at the public library. His pieces have also been sought after by charities and institutions for fundraising events.

When he isn't sculpting, Simon is a Speech-Language Pathologist who helps patients with a variety of neurological disorders improve their speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing functions.

He has also performed improvisational and sketch comedy over the past ten years as a member of two particularly renowned troupes;
Comics Anonymous, which performed weekly
at the prestigious Jan McArt’s Dinner Theater and
Name Change Pending, which performed regularly at
The New York Comedy Club, formerly BocaNuts.
